DJI Care Refresh Service Protection
DJI Care Refresh is a service protection for your drone that offers you two replacements for your damaged equipment within a year for a small additional fee. It covers damages caused, among other things, by collisions or contact with water. The damaged equipment will be replaced with new or equivalent ones. The service package can be activated once within 48 hours of activating (first startup) your drone or at a later date after submitting verification video material to DJI. Additionally, the protection can be extended by purchasing an additional yearly plan (up to two times, for a total of up to 3 years). Furthermore, the manufacturer's official warranty is valid during the service period.
DJI Mavic Air
For DJI Mavic Air drones, the cost of the first replacement is PLN 419, and for the second one - PLN 559.
Activating DJI Care Refresh
1. Activate the code at: https://support.dji.com/care/active.
2. During the activation process, provide the Care Refresh code, device serial number (found directly on the product), and the activating person's information (first name, last name, email address).
3. The Service Package will be activated and automatically assigned to the appropriate region. You'll receive confirmation of DJI Care Refresh activation via email. Your drone is now safe!
It's also possible to assign DJI Care Refresh to the product after 48 hours from its activation. To do so, submit a verification video demonstrating the device's condition to the DJI. Detailed information and sample video material are available at: https://repair.dji.com/en/djicare/customerupload.
In Case of Accidents
The procedure in case of an accident is incredibly simple. Just report the malfunction and send the damaged equipment to DJI's warranty service – don't forget to mention that you're using DJI Care Refresh. After receiving the repair estimate, you can choose whether to proceed with the repair/replacement at your expense or through DJI Care Refresh. If you opt for the second option, you only need to pay the appropriate fee – the replaced equipment will be sent to you with priority, and if you're in the same region where the DJI Care Refresh service was purchased, the manufacturer will cover the shipping cost!
1. The user reports the malfunction and sends the drone to the German DJI service with a note that they have DJI Care Refresh.
2. The user receives a repair estimate and decides whether they want to repair/replace at their expense or through DJI Care Refresh.
3. After selecting the DJI Care Refresh option, the user pays the replacement fee and receives a different unit or new spare parts, such as the gimbal, camera, propellers.
4. The replaced product is delivered to the user with priority shipping.
Cases Covered by DJI Care Refresh
By purchasing DJI Care Refresh, you protect your drone from accidents including falls, water damage, collisions, or accidents caused by signal interference. DJI Care Refresh also covers accidents caused by the operator's fault.
- User error.
- Signal interference.
- Collision.
- Water immersion (Provided that the drone wreck is sent to the manufacturer's service center).
- Fall.
DJI Care Refresh Doesn't Cover
1) Lost or partially lost drone, gimbal, or accessories.
2) Theft or abandonment of the product.
3) Damages caused by flying in inappropriate weather conditions.
4) Remote controller, additional accessories.
5) Intentional loss of the drone.
6) Cosmetic damages that do not affect the product's functionality.
7) Direct or indirect damages caused by force majeure.
8) Defects occurring outside the DJI Care Refresh validity period.
9) Additional fees related to model upgrades or performance improvements.
10) Defects resulting from modifications that are not in accordance with the recommendations in the user manual or using incompatible batteries and chargers.
11) Defects resulting from using unauthorized accessories, batteries, or software.
Possibility of Extending Protection*
Users also have the option to extend the protection for a maximum of 3 years. To do this, simply purchase an additional yearly plan.
- If you have a yearly DJI Care Refresh plan, you can extend the protection twice by purchasing two additional yearly plans: yearly plan + yearly plan + yearly plan.
- If you have a 2-year plan, you can extend the protection once by purchasing one yearly plan: 2-year plan + yearly plan.
Note: It's not possible to extend protection by purchasing an additional 2-year plan.
Specific conditions must be met for protection extension:
- Purchase DJI Care Refresh in one of the following variants: yearly DJI Care Refresh plan / 2-year DJI Care Refresh plan / yearly DJI Care Refresh plan and DJI Care Refresh + / yearly DJI Care Refresh plan and additional yearly plan (renewal).
- The validity period of the purchased DJI Care Refresh service has not yet expired or expired within 15 days.
